Jim Cahill
Jim is the developer of Contemplative Biofeedback, a method of self-regulation equally informed by Western psychophysiology and Eastern mind trainings.
A former brain research at the world-renowned Scripps Research Institute and lecturer at UCSD School of Medicine in medical anthropology, Jim extended his research to clinical applications to address the epidemic of stress and chronic pain, at Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine.
Jim is recently most active in research, content development, and design of biosensors and mobile apps to increase the reach of self-regulation trainings using evidence-based metrics of efficacy and adherence to improve the field of mobile health and wellness. He actively contributes to his field as author, board member, chief editor, and peer-review editor for several psychophysiology and contemplative science journals, having edited over one thousand science manuscripts over the past 25 years. Jim’s passion is the application of wisdom and method to relieve suffering and increase happiness by applying practical, proven, and accessible tools for the benefit of us all.
